Di tutta questa vicenda, uno degli elementi ancor più gravi che denuncio da diversi anni, è come i nostri agenti svolgano attività di presidio del territorio senza i mezzi adeguati di auto difesa. Nonostante sia stato approvato da qualche anno il nuovo regolamento di Polizia Locale, i nostri agenti non sono ancora dotati di strumenti di autodifesa meno invasivi della pistola. Mi chiedo come possano essere mandati a svolgere determinati servizi senza strumenti adeguati di cui dispongono tanti altri colleghi appartenenti ad altri comuni”.

“Per quanto riguarda il comportamento denunciato come illegittimo dagli agenti, in riferimento a un dirigente del Corpo, chiederemo spiegazioni nella seduta di commissione, non è assolutamente compito del Consiglio Comunale svolgere attività di indagine, se vi sono delle violazioni saranno le autorità competenti a stabilirlo, tuttavia è evidente che vi sono delle responsabilità politiche. Forse, se al posto di scattare qualche foto di facciata insieme ai nostri agenti, il nostro Sindaco avesse vissuto un po' più da vicino la realtà del Comando, non si sarebbe arrivato a tanto” ha concluso il consigliere Scarlino.
