Un tocco di colore e allegria in centro a Rho, grazie agli ombrelli appesi martedì 11 luglio 2023, in piazza San Vittore, proprio sopra le Ellissi, le sedute progettate dall’architetto Cino Zucchi, QUI articolo. L’iniziativa è dell’Assessorato al Commercio, che ha voluto abbellire la città con un elemento decorativo: “Abbiamo voluto colorare l’estate di chi resta in città, creando allo stesso tempo un po’ di ombra sulle panchine. Si tratta di un’installazione che durerà qualche mese, fino allo Sbaracco di settembre, e che vuole accompagnare chi passeggia per Rho e chi fa shopping con una nota allegra” dice l’assessore Maria Rita Vergani.

L’installazione rientra tra le iniziative organizzate per rilanciare il Distretto Urbano del Commercio (DUC), tra cui rientra il Giovedì Summer Fest, una serie di eventi per il giovedì sera di giugno e luglio che prevede negozi aperti, street food, musica, laboratori per bambini e tante sorprese.
L'idea di decorare le vie della città ricorrendo a ombrelli colorati appesi, mossi dal vento, nasce nel 2012 in Portogallo, precisamente ad Águeda: da lì in poi l'uso si è diffuso in tutta Europa. In questo modo conferiscono un tocco di colore che incanta alla città, creando anche una piacevole ombra nelle giornate più calde.
