Venerdì 2 giugno, in occasione del 77° anniversario della
Festa della Repubblica, Unione Popolare,
presso il parco Europa a Rho, ha voluto mettere in evidenza le contraddizioni della
politica sia nazionale sia europea. Per fare questo Unione Popolare con un
gazebo raccoglieva firme per il Referendum “Italia per la Pace”, dove
sottolineavano un punto cardine dell’ultimo Documento di Programmazione
Economica del Governo, nel quale è riportata la riduzione per il 2023 di 2
miliardi di euro per la spesa sanitaria, e l’aumento
di 12 miliardi di euro per la spesa militare.
L’Italia deve seguire le indicazioni Europee e non può
decidere da sola, ed è proprio su questa situazione che l’attivista di Unione Popolare Massimo Giordano vuole
dire la sua: “Proprio il 7 maggio è stata inaugurata la panchina europea qui al
parco Europa, in nome dell’Europa e dei valori dell’Europa, con degli slogan
che ci sembra ormai non facciano più effetto, sembrano parole vuote”.
Oggi a dire di Unione Popolare l’Europa non lavora più per
la Pace, “che era una delle sue missioni, tutt’altro- ha proseguito Massimo
Giordano- la Von Der Leyen ha
dichiarato che non si parla di cessate il fuoco, Borrell ha dichiarato che non si aiutano i cittadini europei con
scuole e ospedali, ma bisogna armare Kiev. A cui si aggiunge l’ultima chicca
che si è votata ieri, una modifica al bilancio del PNRR che consenta di
utilizzare parte del PNRR per armi e munizioni, camuffate da line di credito
per aziende e fabbriche di armi”.
Una linea quella di Unione Popolare che non lascia spazio a
fraintendimenti, la Pace si raggiunge con le parole e con le mediazioni, non
con le armi. “E proprio da questa panchina noi chiediamo alla parlamentare
europea della nostra zona, Patrizia Toia,
di rendere conto a ciò che accade, perché le cronache parlamentari dicono che
su quel voto si sia astenuta, ma si è affrettata a dichiarare che il suo è stato
un errore di registrazione, ma il suo voto era favorevole. Per questo noi sosteniamo che non si può parlare di
Europa e votare a favore delle armi. Quindi se questa è l’Europa che Patrizia Toia intende, insieme anche ad
autorevoli esponenti della Giunta, promuovere, noi a livello simbolico
stendiamo un velo pietoso, perché l’Europa oggi è guerra e non è una
spensierata panchina in un parco”.
