Nuove rotatorie, nuova viabilità e nuovo verde.
L’area
della ex Baby Cresci, dismessa da dieci anni, trova nuova vita grazie al
Piano Attuativo Atu 10, a funzione

Redevelopment of the former Baby Cresci
area: two small supermarkets and offices in a green corridor.
New roundabouts, new roads and new
greenery.
The area of the former Baby Cresci,
abandoned for ten years, finds new life thanks to the Atu 10 Implementation
Plan, with a commercial function, with the establishment of new businesses and
a logistics office. Some plants will be removed to guarantee access roads, but
the plan provides compensation for reforestation around the commercial offices.
The area was originally owned by the Immobiliare Bellavita S.p.a. , which kept
Maglificio Bellavita active from the 1980s until 2013 and which it subsequently
sold to another operator. The total area is approximately 35,000 m2, of which
approximately 13,000 occupied by warehouses for industrial use that are no
longer in use.
In April 2021, Mayor Pietro Romano's
council approved the detailed urban plan on the basis of the provisions of the
general plan approved in 2012 which provides for a total building area of
15,000 square meters. The plan provides for the construction of two small
supermarkets, on which work is about to start, and a volume located at the end
of the lot which can be used for offices, production and/or logistics. In the
meantime the demolitions have been carried out and the reclamation activities
have begun. The project involves the construction of an ecological corridor
that links the agricultural areas located to the east and west of the lot and
the transfer of a green area also on the end part of the lot. The latter,
together with the neighboring ones already owned by the municipality (lot
behind Esselunga) and those that will be acquired when Viridea carries out the
intervention envisaged by the general urban plan (construction in the already
built spaces of a place with commercial destination) will be able to form a
area for the use of greenery of significant size and at the service of the neighboring
houses.
